While, there are separate tailored ways to refill and replace but the rudimentary is the best and most effective. This process might be new for you but there is no denying of its effectiveness. So, if you are looking for a comprehensive way to replace it, HP Printer Support team suggests following the below mentioned steps:

  • Check If The Printing Device Is Turned On

In order to replace your ink cartridge/toner, turning on your printer will certainly be the first step!

  • Open The Compartment

This is a delicate step, be careful. Here you have to put your fingers into the slot located at the left of the printer. Now, drag the slot to get an access to the door of the cartridge compartment. Now that the compartment is open, the printer carriage will move to the left side of the printer.

  • Release The Toner For Replacement

When the printer carriage stops moving and becomes stable, push the front part of ink cartridge which you want to replace.

  • Take Out The Old One

Take out the old ink cartridge from its slot and hold the new cartridge carefully. Now align the new ink facing towards the printer.

  • Push The New Ink Box Into The Slot

After you have aligned it properly, push the new ink cartridge into the slot gently till you hear a clicking sound. Again, ensure that the colored dot on the package of the cartridge must match the dot shown in the slot.
